Does this 3dmark06 result look good for 8800 GTS

Hi just got a 8800 GTS 640mb which is running at stock settings

Spec is
q6600 at 3.2ghz
4gb OCZ ddr800
vista x64
620W OCZ powerstream PSU

How far can I Oc this shizzle? whats a good starting point for the gts? 600/1800?

edit/ what software works under vista x64 for overclocking with 163.69 drivers?

Yeah, start at 600/1800 and then just do one thing at a time either core or memory. Find the max in each and then try them together. If not stable together, decrease the memory first as core speed gives a beigger boost than memory.

Most GTS cards go to 650/1000 ish. Some lucky peeps get 700 but that is exceptional.

Suggest you get a water cooler block for your gts (if you haven't already) and then 700 ought to be achievable even if it wasn't with stock cooler.

looks about right for vista 64, same cpu and gpu as u but score nearly 2k more. lower clocked quad aswell, must be the 32bit drivers

Yeah if it was in xp I would say it's low but I don't know how much a difference vista makes.

If you look at the thread on here with 3dmark06 scores you'll get some idea

wow if thats really down to vista64 then im definately not going to make that move!

in xp 32bit with roughly same set up (q6600@stock gts 600/900, 3gb ddr2) i get 11k ish

612/1800 gives 11102 which is a bit better I suppose.

You may get near 12000 if i bump up the cpu higher and card to 650/2000 but i don't like leaving it there never been one to max my overclocks on the edge.
