Hi guys

I have had scores of 11k+ but I updated my drivers to the latest and now I'm getting 4890 as a score?

I tried installing rivatuner but once loaded my clock speeds had N/A next to them?

GTX OC 768mb
E6600 @ 3.3
4gb Ballistix 5300
Vista 64-bit

I have tried the latest drivers and the beta's and still not back to my 11K?

Any idea's please?

I had a similar problem once where all the clock speeds on my gtx had plummeted for no apparent reason. To the region of 200/600 , even WoW was struggling to hit 15fps! wich is what brought it to my attention.

uninstalling all drivers including things like riva tuner, reboot x2, then re-installing the drivers again fixed it for me.

Strange, where drivers all that you installed?

No I did try and put rivatumer on as well but got the N/A next to each slider so I uninstalled it again? Worked fine the first time though?

waso_dude: Run spyware the lot see if anything is taking resources.

I'll try that too

Chris19: That happened to me before found out the problem was the mosfets were overheating and it cut the performance.

Mosfets?? Whats that

You didn't list what motherboard you have, but if it's anything to do with Asus make sure the PCI-E speed hasn't dropped to 1x. It's a common problem on the P5B etc.

Are you sure you pcie is running all the lanes? Sounds like a 1x problem to me.
Beaten to it. :)

Am i right in thinking he needs to set his pci-e frequency manually to 99 or 101 to solve this issue?

Hi guys

Thanks for the replys so far!

I have set the pcie to 105 in the bios, and the mother board is a Gigibyte P35C DS3R v1.1

Never heard of a lane issue? What can I do to fix that if it is?

When I had a P5B, I solved it by setting my PCI-E frequency to 110MHz.

Grab the latest version of CPU-Z and check the mainboard tab. What you're looking for are the "link width" and "max supported" bits near the bottom, they should both read 16x. If they don't, then see above. :)

Right both are showing as 16x and I have just uninstalled the drivers again, but I did notice a 100mb+ Nvidia folder under C:\ so I deleted that too?

Running 3Dmark06 again now, fingers crossed

Well I'd rather not have to load a totally new OS unless I really have to?

And I have used driver cleaner in the passed but not as yet, I'll do that now!

Thanks again

I saw one thing in the OP that immediately aroused my suspicions... Vista 64-bit. :p

You sure you haven't got AA forced on somewhere?
