Once your hack has streamed to the folder, start your game and press INSERT for an in-game menu.

That is actually fake and is being passed around but it does not work and contains a virus/key logger etc... The description of said hack contents are taken from another well known hack site. Basically it's just to entice players to download and click the *.exe and walla your steam account is hijacked.

Now in regards to TF2 and hacks, from what i've seen, there is actualy coloured models floating around with an added 'XQZ wallhack'
Fear not tho as the method these cheap ***** are using will for sure get them a vac/steam ban very soon (could take upto 3 weeks for the bans to be added via vac bans) Coloured models are easily catched.

For anyone that points le finger at me, no i don't cheat, i looked around aswell as i've noticed some very dodgyness in TF2 of late, well it was only a matter of time before the worms attacked this game. Such a shame as the game is pretty easy and extremely fun to play.

Dunno about anyone else, but when I'm in the zone I'm pretty unstoppable as the sniper on TF2. Was in CS, UT, and with the rail gun in quake.

I'm in a similar position, I've found I've just got a knack for sniping in TF2. Sadly the same can't be said about anything else I have been playing recently. I suck badly at CSS :p

on the whole I'd say no, i play sniper a bit and can be pretty decent with it, i can get quite a decent string of headshots (the times i've been called hacker for my meager skills) this probably comes from the fact i generally play sniper in every game i play :D.

however in TF2, more noticeably so (IMO) there seems to be a VAST number of people I'd think *may* be using something, in some cases its as simple as wondering how they guessed i would be coming out that exit, or in that entrance (or how they're crosshairs seem to be able to snap back to head level :p). i very rarely say it on a server, but when i do they tend to be the ones kicked off 5-10 minutes later.

and like mentioned, in other cases it's snipers who never miss a head shot and are at the top of the score board (although i've come top as a sniper :p).

not everyone good is hacking ;) but a fair majority are :D

Ditto here. I always jump for glee when I get a rifle or sniper weapon in any game. However I just can't snipe in TF2 lol. I was brilliant in tfc, and to be fair haven't really given the TF2 sniper much play since the current maps are rather sniper unfriendly but I just hate that rounded scope :o

If you ever meet a good CSS sniper, they will distroy at TF2 sniping.

Its all about quick sniping.

I'm a goodish sniper on CSS, and can easily rack up 20+kills with it in a round.

Its all about practising.

Quick sniping enables you to look about unzoomed, zoom and fire in a matter of millisecounds.

2fort sniper battles are the suck. Contribute sod all to the team and need a good kicking.
I disagree, but then I would :p

A good sniper on 2Fort can be amazing, stopping opposing players getting into your base, shooting the intel carrier etc. You don't have to exclusively fight it out with the opposing snipers ;).

It's interesting that in BF2142 there's a personal scanner that is a short range radar that adds their positions to the map.
This makes it easy to spot people sitting in buildings wall hacking.

I refer only to sniper battles, which are pointless imo. Proper snipers that actually take out the enemy and instill fear I do respect.

Is there no option to spec people like css?

so you cant just spec him to see if he's doing anything suspicious?

How is it you ignored me when i said to do this twice now :(
Lol sorry Tefal, I had no clue what you meant by 'spec' :o

Now I know it means 'Spectator Mode' I did have a go at that last night but I don't see a way in-game to switch to this mode?

sniper vs sniper on 2fort, most people ignore, they are too busy trying to get 1up on their opponent...however ones who are taking out everyone...they are a pain

I kinda agree with you to some extent but it seems to be the way the game goes, if there is at least one sniper on each side they tend to get locked into a kinda dual. There are some team benefits to this as the enemy sniper is concentrating more on where you are than taking a lot of shots at your teamates!

I suppose the really good snipers can take care of both you and your team!

Yeah that normally happens if the sniper strings a few kills together in quick succession lol! :D

I think most players assume that any sniper they meet is average and stick their head out and run backwards and forwards through the snipers killzone, however as already mentioned if they start getting their heads blown off then they do get the fear! ;)

You say you are crouched in some corner.. well.. your not going to kill another decent sniper like that.

I have always sniped in games. You know where likely positions are on both sides and you check them.. you sitting still is frankly making it very easy for the other sniper to pop and shoot.

You need to keep moving..

A number of points - when you say youre looking down your scope and he just strafes into view and pops you as he knows where you are - he probably does. When the sniper rifle is fully powered up (you have been zoomed in for a sec or 2) a little red (or blue) dot appears where you are aiming. Enemies can see that dot and judge where you are accordingly. When aiming try and keep the center of your target on an area that cant be seen - just above door, below a ledge etc.

As for the snipers killing people as they run through a door way - what many people do is simple line the target up on the middle of the door, as soon as someone appears running from left to right they click - often you will get at least a body shot (which is enough to kill many classes when fully charged up)

my $0.02

To switch to spectator mode, hit the key bound to team select (possibly "." no idea otherwise, check your options) then click the TV in between the team coloured doors. Although i also believe the server has to have spectators enabled.

Thing is you will never know online, some will be great some will be kiddy cheaters. It's a shame this is the way online play is, but just take it as good practice - I would.

Hopefully you will get better and better.

The thing is: can you tell the difference between a so-called skilled player who is really good and someone who is hacking?

I doubt it very much. So you are left with trusting them or thinking you know them and they wouldnt hack....because they aint like that etc.

for me this kills online fps pc gaming. If there isnt a difference between cheating and non-cheating evident in gameplay then whats the point?
But then it has been mentioned : dont let it bother you and just play and have fun. Thats the point though unless your some kind of masochist what fun is there from being aimbotted 10 times out of 10? Its like spawn, die, spawn, die. Thats a weird kind of fun then ehh.

However i do play bf2142 but what i like about bf2142 is that there are a lot of measures in the gameplay that are the equivalent of things that hackers would have e.g. wallhack : you have sonar. The hard-coded view distance - so if someone has a hack which bypasses it it isnt hard to detect this. Theres ways of playing the game which arent all about aiming to the head as fast as possible lol.
Also good admins etc and i havent encountered any real problems with bf2142 and hackers. Which i am delighted to be able to say btw :)

Also because there are more players on the server - it becomes less about individual egos and players and more about the team and squads. (imo)
