Any idea on the repair cost of this?

Make sure you tell them you're NOT claiming off the insurance. Most places give a vastly inflated price for insurance work.

imo by the way im in the trade. You are looking around the £300-£400 mark depends what kind of job you want.cant really tell if it dented but even if it isnt you will still have to prime it and paint plus your looking at about 6 hours labour just for the paint and a couple hours strip and fit.

I can't tell from the pics whether it's metallic paint or not, but if it is then you'd be doing well to blend it in without it noticing. First i'd see how much of it you can get off with some cutting compound. If you have no joy, the best thing is to spray both the door and the rear wing, the rear wing area extends in one piece up above and along the top of both doors and down next to the windscreen. When I was at work with my dad before he closed the business last year, you'd probably have been looking at about £200-250 ish. It looks worse than it probably is, and is fairly easily rectified. :)

:confused::confused:

even if it is metalic or a solid colour, black is the easiest colour to blend if they say they will have to blend further than the back door in to the front door go some were else.

better off claiming on insurance and paying the excess? thats what insurance is for.

and loose NCB, get screwed for the next 2-3 years?

I'd approach a small bodyshop, explain that you are a cash customer ;) and then you should see the price in the region of £250.

Steer clear of the big bodyshops.

Try using 'Metallic T-Cut' or try calling chips-away they may be able to repair it... they will at least give you a quote.
