Somewhere I shouldn't be!
I got one of these today:

EVGA nForce 680i SLi (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (122-CK-NF68-A1)

Along with a Q6600, Tuniq Tower and some 4Gb Geil PC6400 ULL which I got on O/Cs weekend deal.

I have not put it together yet, as I like to get everything in order with regards to what I have to do and also to back up my data....

I am puzzled by two things with this board.

My first question:

There is a molex connector on the motherboard which the manual states is an Aux power connector for the graphics cards, do I actually need to use this connector? my PSU already provides two power cables for my gpus so I am not sure whether I need it or not.

The 2nd query concerns memory, I have read on here that the default memory voltage for the ram is 1.85V for the 680i.... my memory requires 2.1V (I think.... got to read details on it), so if I install this memory, will it still enable me to boot up into the BIOS? I have never had to change voltages on memory before, so this is a complete mystery to me.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

You only need to use the molex if running two graphics cards, which you will be.

And yes the Geil will boot fine at 1.85v, allowing you to manually set its voltage to 2.1v.

Thanks for the quick reply!!!
