Both amazing albums and best I've heard in a very long time. We certainly have reached an era when video game music is better than so called 'normal' music. Anyone else got these?

And you don't want to know how much the Silent Hill 2 cd costs!

Yeah I know it's a lot, but musicaly it really is something else. Akira Yamaoka is a wizard, no doubt about it. It haven't enjoyed a cd more in a long time.

Chaos Theory was quite cheap, about £8.50 and that really is quite a bargain for the quality of the tracks on it.

It's just a shame most people will never get to hear albums like these.

Always been a fan of SH soundtracks (SH3 and SH2 are my favourites) and as for Amon Tobin ... what can I say, the man is a genius (you have to check out Foley Room, just f'ing awesome!). :D The game doesn't do the music justice imho since it's mainly used as limited background music, so listening to the actual soundtrack is essential.

Yeah definitely. I had chaos theory on my xbox and which is connected to my hi fi. Prior to getting the album, sometimes I'd just load the game turn the stereo up and let the music loop for an hour or so.

a lot of the other amon tobin albums are much better imo, he does some fantastic work, not really surprising he was asked to do a soundtrack for a game like splinter cell

Is it different to the one on iTunes for £8 (SH2 OST same cover)? That's an excellent album.

Haven't got iTunes installed so I can't check, but I did a search on iTunes website and it listed 4 tracks that are on the album so I think it's the same be. Quite a bit cheaper on iTunes.

EDITED!
