I've been offered one of these for £2000 with 50,000 on the clock, from a friend at work. He's selling his to replace it with a supercharged version

According to parkers its a decent second hand price,

I'm just waiting for the lady to call back from our insurers,

They wouldn't allow me to put a Peugeot 205 1.9 GTi on the farm policy, or a Subaru impreza, But they might with one of these ;)

Handling by lotus the guy says, But are they rubbish build quality etc ?

Thanks in advance :)

My friend has one and he really likes it !! they are quite rapid too !! £2000 is a good price imo!

Just spoke to my friend now, Its had new tyres all round, new plugs, air filter, oil change and filter, radiator flush and refill with anti-freeze.

He will do it me for £1900 :D

Arghhh..

Have to be over 25 on the Farms " Vehicle Fleet " So its a no no  :(

Only 5 and a bit more years to wait :p

I had one, nice cars. Really fun round the twisties but in a straight line quite a bore tbh :( My Lupo GTI felt a lot quicker although they're both 130 odd bhp. The fuel consumption was awful as well considering the performance I got from the car. Interior was rather tacky but not suprising coming from Malaysia or something?! Lovely Recaro seats and A/C as standard was a nice addition.

Mine only cost £2500 with 50k over a year ago.

Lovely looking exterior wise though.

This was mine:

I'm sure it was one of these that I raced on my private race track when I was on my bike...we were both holding a steady 130 - 140 and it seemed to pull pretty well from 90 too. I was very surprised actually.

If Proton's track record is anything to go by, they mean; "Handling by someone who works for the same company that the guy who sets up the lotuses works for."

It wasn't one of these then, they don't have performance anywhere near that level.
