I am suprised by the short battery life of these, I was looking at them. I curently have the Nokia 7390 (in black/bronze) on Three. Shame they don't make them any more as imo they are one of the nicest 3G phones to have come out. Effectively feature wise it is pretty similar however,
I get up to a 5 day battery life out of mine with 3g use and calls/texts/gaming so why nokia can't do this in the 6500c I don't know. If i don't use it standby lasts 6-7days.
Lack of expandibility has put me off the 6500c as well although I havent used my 64mb card yet on mine so I doubt I would fill the 1GB in the 6500c, which in real terms is quite a lot of photos, vids, mp3s, apps etc.

Aye the 7390 is probably a lot chunkier therefore better battery life....

You will if you start sticking MP3s on it and using it as a player, otherwise if it's just the odd pic you'll be hard pushed.
I've started using mine recently as a flash drive with the mass storage mode, but it means taking the cable everywhere as it's a pop port job, the newer Nokias have the mini-usb connector which is a little handier though.
Well, I've received my new 6500C yesterday, and first impressions are:
* Nice looking phone
* Slim and easy to fit in jeans
* Camera is good
* Screen is excellent
* More than enough meory for me (but shame you can't upgarde the memory for other users who will fill it up with music etc...)
Overall very happy with it, looks like it's build quality is good also, should last a few years. Not sure about battery life yet, will update you guys on that when it runs out!

Battery life doesn't concern me that much tbh. How often are you unable to access your charger each night? Even if you're sent away a phone charger isn't exactly hard to get hold of in hotels etc.
Anyway I like the look of this phone, and having played with the Sony Ericsson W910i which I didn't like, I've decided that the Nokia 6500 will be my next phone. Only question now is - bronze or black?!

Well I went for the black...which is good but may be the most common one out there.
If you want to be different go for the bronze which also looks good in the photos I've seen of it. However I did wonder if this was more for the ladies?

Just a quick update:
Still love this phone, and the battery has lasted me well enough, initial charge has finally run out today. So I got about a week out of a full charge.
Having said that I do turn my mobile off at night when I am at home (as it is a work one and I dont want to be disturbed once I'm home!) So i presume this has elongated the useful time I've got out of one charge?! Anyway, it's lasting long enough for me.......
