To be honest, I've been walking around with my head in a bucket, I've not noticed this release at all!

Suddenly, after hearing about it maybe 2 years ago, I decided to Google Team Fortress 2 to see if there is any progress, WHAM! there it is, release in this Orange Box thing...

OK, so I wanna buy it! I was REALLY excited about this game when I first heard about it!

Now my proper question....

My PC is getting on a bit now, its not overclocked (I don't know how and will probably break it!)

AMD A64 4000+San Diego
2GB OCZ 3200 stuff I think
Graphics Leadtek Geforce 7800 GTX
Mobo Asus A8N-SLI Premium

Do you think it will play TF2 ok?

You'll be able to run it a 640x480 with everything at low with that crappy rig of yours.

Nah, I'd expect everything on high with that setup. Have fun. ;)

why do people always insist that when a new game comes out you need the fastest rig in the world because it has nice shiny graphics

they're not exactly going to create a game that only runs on a top spec pc that caters for like 2% of gamers or whatever, and when people go 'will x run on my dual core e6600 2gig 8800 gtx' really annoys me!

I never insisted I needed a new rig! I've not played a game other than Eve on my PC for about a year so I kinda felt out of the loop. I thought I'd check what the 'real' people thought about performance of my rig vs the game before I hand over my hard earned cash! I have absolutly no plans to upgrade my PC for a long time yet, it was purely to check whether there was actually any point in my buying this game that I've been looking forward to for a long time.

Hiya m8, yes it should run ok on your rig :p You might want to add a couple more GB's memory as it can be a bit of a memory hog at times :D
