Vista Premium 32 or 64?

Well apart from that, there are no differences. Vista x64 only brings advantages over the 32-bit version.
All programs execute at full speed, the drivers are as abundant as the 32-bit ones, and it has advantages like 64-bit code support and the option for lots of RAM.

yeah what tute said, you can also potentally run more applications at the same time too if memory serves correctly.
checklist for this question..
1> Do you run any 16bit applications (you'd probably know if you did, they're really old and look rubbish this is a blunt comment, but they tend to have old gui's
(if yes, get 32bit)
2>Check to see if all your hardware has Vista 64bit drivers
(my hauppage nova-t card only has 32bit)
3>Do you want to have over 3.5Gb of ram?
(if yes, get 64bit)

I don't see how, I mean wasn't Windows 95 a 32-bit operating system?
Whenever you ran 16-bit code it would use the DOS emulator (which emulated a 16-bit system).
Or am I totally wrong?
A lot of the old setup programs use 16 bit installers which was fully supported by Windows 95/98 but isn't by Vista. And no, it's not using a DOS emulator as such, but the 16 bit Windows subsystem.
