Thought I'd share a couple of shots I took of my friends little boy the other day. I seem to have put wildlife on the backburner lately but I've still been using the camera from time to time practicing portraits/people which is good fun.

Both taken with Sigma 105 macro, D2x, ISO800.

As shot, I think it was at f2.8 or f4, I forget which now

First shot is really great, not sure why it's so good but I really like it. I think the black and white with the sharpness of the eyes really makes it.

Real pity that her hair is over her eye. Other than that, the DoF and sharpness are nice and I like the B&W conversion.

The second one is cute.
