WEIRD thing in HL2!!!

First time we see G-man in HL he's arguing with the Black Mesa facility administrator. During HL the assumption is always that the G-man was behind the resonance cascade, or at least knew the risks of one, but in HL2 we find out that the administrator, Dr Breen has done quite well out of the Xen invasion and is in charge of City-17, so was the G-man arguing against proceeding with the experiment? and since he let Gordon loose on the Dr Breen's ass, is he now trying to free earth from the grip of the Combine?

Also, the G-man appears at the end of HL: Opposing Force - locking up the protagonist, a marine called Adrian in a monorail carriage trapped in space/time. I hope the G-man lets Adrian out soon :p

eh? please explain your most probable witty explanation

isn't g-man just gordans mind, i mean his own personal image of himself, like neo in the matrix, because the guy never speaks, or sees himself in the mirror, and kills f-loads of things, he must be psychologically screwed?

I dunno

[spoilers]
At the beginning of Ep1, Gordon is being followed by the Gman, but the Vortigaunts stop him. While it could be argued that he was dreaming there too, its unlikely.
