I thought the TripleHead could only output at a maximum of 3 x 1280 x 1024.
Wouldn't that make the image stretched on 3 x 24" monitors?
That's a stonkingly impressive setup, and I won't deny I'm jealous, but that's not why I am saying what I am about to say: You don't spend that much on a setup and kid yourself into thinking that kind of image stretching is "okay", what a complete waste.Thats true, but when you have near 5ft of horizontal screenage, it does not matterThe only things that look odd are onscreen elements such as guides, compass, etc.
Not trying to crap on your thread, I just think that's a complete waste of money for such a horrid picture.
Aye I'm not denying that's an incredible setup, I mean really incredible, and I bet it's utterly brilliant for doing graphics/video work on. I just can't imagine playing game in a stretched out resolution like that, would drive me mad. If gaming is just a bonus for you then it's win, good work.Well I have to sit in front of it every working day to do graphic/video work, so when they are all running at 1920x1200 in normal desktop mode its ace. The games are just an added bonus!
the matrox is (3 times 1280)*1024 so the resolution is 3840*1024 it does rock, i used to have it
Actually, you would be amazed how well the 2407 handles 1280x1024Yeah but when you consider the "native resolutions" (added up) of three Dell 24" is supposed to be 5760x1200 and you're using your Matrox and getting 3840*1024 across your screens then it's going to be horribly stretched and pixellated. It'd be like me running something in 1024x768 on my 1680x1050 panel, would look disgusting.![]()
If I get to see a 2407 doing 1024 and I'm not sickened, I will personally PayPal you £10.Actually, you would be amazed how well the 2407 handles 1280x1024![]()

Keep in mind that one of the reasons I hate GRAW and STALKER are the blurry edges you get with AA on.
