Just got back from my training day at our head office in hull for a certain orange shirted company and I feel like Ive actually wasted the afternoon lol. Started off with a rep from Intel giving us the latest info on current products and whats around the corner as well as technology pros and cons in todays market. Was really good, easy to understand and very useful in the position I hold in the store I work in.

Moving to the afternoon, 3 hours with HP reps. The line up was printers and new digital camera's and explanations of all technology in each of the products presented. Problem was the first rep didn't know what he was talking about. Made mistakes with his own information on camera's specifically which kinda made us all lose interest. Second up was a lady explaining to us about the latest printers to cater for all market types, she didnt know RRP prices for printers, inks or the paper they match up with. Couldn't tell me to what extent the "editing" software could change an image when its loaded into the printers memory and didn't even know the printers DPI or Picolitre ratings.

And to top it all off, these 2 where training another guy sat in the back of the room.

Can anyone top that for a waste of an afternoon?

I watched TV, chatted to a mate and browsed the forums all afternoon - now that's a wasted afternoon since I had so much to do! :p Difference is, I enjoyed it :D

I sat around, did a 2mile run and looked (failed) for my national insurance card - productive.

Stuff to do: order wood for A2 coursework(technology), thankyou letters for my birthday(month ago), work..

I had the afternoon off work to go to the dentist and hygenist.
The dentist drilled my teeth ok but the Hygenist had also taken the afternoon off.
Cheers then !!
So I went round a few shops in town looking for giant movie poster frames, cost me £1.40 to park the car for 15 mins and no one had frames that big anyway.
Passing the orange shop back to the car I dropped in to look at the new N95...
"I don't think we are getting those"..
Ok how about the Nokia 6500
"Um, sold the last one yesterday, wont have any more for a week, but we'll have the 6500 slide back in stock for Saturday if you want to pop back"
:(
Trudged back to the car, novocaine starting to wear off...

:(
