Ok, before anyone tells me to search, I have. On google too. As far as I can tell, I have done everything right.

Now, as far as everything I have read is concerned the 2.05 version of Rivatuner has signed drivers.

I ran that extra .tdu file to update Rivatuner with the signed drivers.

Now, isn't this supposed to stop Vista from blocking the program at start-up?

Or do I need to disable Windows Defender?

Just a thought have you disabled driver signing in vista?
And i have defender turned off because its crap.

Anyone else with ideas.

Tried disabling windows defender, just in case that was what was blocking it, but still no luck.

Why is it getting blocked if it has a signed driver? This is driving me nuts.

I'm in exactly the same position, Vista still says there's an unsigned driver installed even when I had the file in the same folder as the setup. We must be missing something simple (I usually do!)

i had this problem. I used a dos command line to disable driver signing but it did nothing. But if you press F8 before the windows splash screen there is an option to disable driver signing and then you can boot into windows and install rivatuner no problems

If I do this, then install Rivatuner, would I need to use the F8 option every time, or only for the installation?

just for the installation of the unsigned driver. once its installed, you wont need to do it again :)

Delete everything you have in regards to the program, and the drivers, then try again. Works fine for me on Vista, i have Defender deactivated though, so i couldn't tell if that is the issue.

I just did a fresh install of Riva Tuner, and had no issues at all (with Defender on). Tried uninstalling and cleaning out before a new install?

Cant give much advice as such, as mine just worked. Know this doesn't help, but hey :)

Removed everything.

re-installed drivers.

restarted windows and selected startup without driver signing.

installed Rivatuner.

restarted - Windows has blocked.....

I would swear if only it was allowed on here!

2.05 works fine if u keep disableing the driver signing. thats because of the 2 windows updates.

2.06 will work fine without disableing the driver signing

Oh, I finally got this working a couple of days ago. I uninstalled dirvers and Rivatuner, then manually deleted folder left behind by NVidia and Rivatuner (which I had not done before).

Then restarted, reinstalled drivers, restarted. Installed Rivatuner from the root of my C drive, selected "yes" when it prompted me to install updates.

And now is running fine. Amusing though, as I have decided to leave OCing for a while. Too time consuming right now :)

I am using 2.06 but still having problems, tried all of the above but to no avail.

I turned off defender, but it still comes back.
Tried the F8 thing

Just still blocks it, how annoying.

Any other ideas. On the second install attempt.

Have you disabled the UAC .. user application Access control thingy??

Itis in your user accounts setup page.. It prevent dodgy software from running, but also prevent Rivatuner at times.

Try it..
