Here's one for the detectives out there! I need to replace my shocks shortly, and after pricing up the koni adjustables at ~£500 im thinking that if I can find some coilovers it might be worth doing that as it'll be similar cash? Thing is.....I can't find any! Seems to be the only car in existance that i can't find them for.

But, OcUK detectives seem good enough to find anything for anything, so lets see guys!

Car spec: 2000 W reg Ford Mondeo 2.5l V6 Ghia X, ST24 or ST200 all have interfitting parts so any will do.

Thanks in advice :D

Tom.

Fairly sure they're for the mk3, they say 2000 onwards, where as the mk2 has used the same suspension since 96 iirc. Found them straight away! Cheers anyway though guys.

if i'm going to change the shocks, i'm going to do it properly :)

KYB AGX would be doing it properly ;)

and then maybe some eibach springs.

from my personal experience i wouldnt fit coilovers on a daily driver as they are too stiff and even if you get lower spring rates/damping they still make much more noise than normal setups.:)

can't see the AGX for my car :(

I've already got Koni springs in place, and they are only a few thousand miles old so i'd be keeping them if i went for conventional shocks, so they'd be best matched with koni shocks?

as said, that IS doing it properly... id give Byparts a call they might be able to get AGX's for it, IF KYB make them for the MondeoMK2...

otherwise coilovers at £500+VAT+shipping + fitting aint gonna be too cheap, its probably like half the value of the car itself (or near it)

ok KYB dont make AGX for the mondeo, the Koni Yellow adjustables seem to be the best way forward atm, decided that coilovers would probably be too harsh as a daily driver + the hassle of trying to get them shipped!

Where's the best place to get all 4 koni adjustables WITHOUT springs? I already have the exact springs that come in the complete set, so no point in rebuying them when they are only about 5k miles old.
