Can't say I've ever noticed this as all the content I have downloaded have all been between 10mb to well over 100mb. It's only down to the games developers to release stuff afterwards.

That's different, though.

I was just saying that I don't agree with having to pay for something that, as some people are describing it, isn't finished.
 
Hmm i dont see why we cant compare this to retail games to be honest. Kinda reminds me of the bit from Taladega nights where ricky bobby just says "with all due respect" and then just spouts any old rubbish :p

I know that the gameplay is not set in stone but will it really change that much? That much we dont know. We also dont know which features will appear in the retail game. But even the guys at polyphony are suggesting they aren't going to add a huge amount more content (customisation is really a must PLEASE!) I keep harping on about the bad points of this game, but that's only cause i really want it succeed, just a gamer passionate about racing games :)
 
Lets face facts, its very evident this demo isnt final build.
Those of us that have felt a bit disappointed are facing the prospect that GT is falling way behind and having 40 cars with such poor drones for the AI still wouldnt help. The question is will this improve or change, either way to release this as it is doesent set a great example.


At no point has Sony announced the AI as at a beta stage even if this build is a few months behind what prolouge will be. PS3 needs this game to set the benchmark, I wish it was too but so far would even the biggest diehard fan say this demo is even close, no because if anything its nothing other than flashy1080 GT.

Fingers crossed for Prolouge, legs too.
 
I don't really want to get too involved in the praise and criticism of the demo, but there's new content up! Three (very slow downloading) GT-TV videos, some crazy kanji news, and the Nissan is now under a red sheet ;)

I am guessing it was a mistake in the 1st place. Nissan GT-R launches 24/10/07. So I can only guess they forgot to lock it down, and now have corrected their mistake, only to un-correct it tomorrow when it is officially launched at Tokyo Motor Show.

That makes sense, stupid mistake though :o
 
Some cars have been unlocked today..the lexus and the red one (cant remember, is it an alfa?) and the GTR. One is still wrapped in a blue cloth though.
Some people were saying its the new subaru impreza? dunno though

Yep thats my video on putfile. Excuse the one handed bad driving I had literally played it on the wheel for like 2 minutes to check button configs before recording the video.

The amazing thing is, I didnt have to configure a thing I just plugged it in and all the buttons were assigned, even the H shifter. notice when it's switched to seqential mode it auto re-assigns aswell. Clever stuff.
