A friend of mine showed me this picture but we have no idea what the item does (the one that is circled). Has anyone got any idea?

Or - a phone linked directly to your bank to ask for for money for the next repair bill. :)

he is right :)

Could be, I remember some TVRs have door handles on the transmition tunnel. I think the idea is it makes reaching in and pulling the door handle when the car isn't deadlocked harder.

That and TVR like hiding door handles. The outside ones are little push buttons under the mirros.

Not could be, it is. The Chimera has the door latch and striker reversed to normal cars, i.e. the latch is built into the door frame, the striker is on the door. Therefore there is no way to open the door with a door handle, which is why it doesn't have any!

You turn the knob to the left to open the passenger door and to the right to ope the drivers door.

The outside ones are little push buttons under the mirros.

Only on later models!... from when the Cerbera was released onward!.. other than that its a big push down button just behind the top edge/rear of the door!!... no key holes...

and if I remember theres even an emergency pully cable hidden in the boot just in case the outside buttons don't work!!

I like early/mid 90's TVR engineering!!!...

Man I want one!.. :(
