8800 GT vs ATI HD38x0

It does if its lies and from that graph it looks like a site trying to make 1 card look much better than the other which in my opinion pretty much makes them even more hard to believe.

But nowhere on the graph do they lie, it's not from zero so unless you’re completely illiterate there’s no way you can think the bar size alone represents the performance difference.

They're trying to make the 3800 series look crap, I'd stay well clear of that site, you never know they might even fake the results.

Why is it not from zero then like every other decent review site. As if it was from zero then we would be able to see that the difference is big but not that big lol. Some people that don't have a clue may look at that and think well that card whoops that card by a whole graph length lol. Its just a bad way of putting things in my opinion. I will be waiting for the real reviews which hopefully will be coming our way soon. I think i may be putting a new gfx card in my machine for christmas so 1 of the new low process cards will prob be what i am going to buy but will only be willing to pay around 150-200 before i do my real upgrade sometime next year.

That is so incredibly biased towards nVidia it's unbelievable. But then again, with a site name like, 'force', I'd have never guessed that'd have anything to do with a certain make of graphics card. I love how specific as to which card it is... '38x0'

Yea if they had tested the 3800 series they would know atleast which card they had tested lol.

Lmao never noticed that either. Maybe they just like to round numbers up but if you ask me they are more into guestimations. Lets face it a lot of people in here think they know for sure that the hd3850 is going to be a 2900pro at 55nm process with higher clock speeds so it will be pretty easy to guess what score its going to bring in 3dmark06. I am not sure about this though as nvidia already stated that ati's card is faster in 3dmark so from that graph it can't be. If it is faster in 3dmark then it will prob be faster in games as the 2900 is faster in 3dmark than a gts and usually in games also. I can't see there being much between them in games if ati's card is faster in 3dmark but its all just specualtion.

whats it matter, the same happened with the 2900, reputable websites that posted benchmarks of the 2900 certain people claimed those sites to be biased simply because they could not accept the fact that the 2900 was a crap card.
immense loyalty some people have to a brand.

ill make my verdict on the 3800 series and 8800gt when the benchmarks from the 3 main sites are shown: anandtech, hardocp and firingsquad.

Lol look at the picture yourself, the size of the bars pretty much show they trying to make the 3800 look crap tho.

Are the sites that are coming out with these benchmarks reputable though mav. The one with that large green bar to me is not. I am not rubishing some of the benchmarks for the gt as they could possibly be true but that graph smells of crap to me.

size doesn;t matter, its the performance that counts, i just look at the numbers next to the bars and ignore the bars themselves. look at the scale of the chart, at the bottom axis. anyone with some gcse grade E and above passes will know whats going on.

I know its numbers that matter, but that Nv's bar is so much more longer than ATi's on that it makes it look like ATi card is amazingly crap when it is only like 2000 shorter.

lack of education will make people go on bar size alone. little kiddies will tell thier mummies and daddies to get the 8800gt cuz its bar size is massive.
but the more educated people, like me , will see the graph for what it is and will see that axis does not start from 0.
iv seen graphs like this many times before in my lifetime. its nothing to start flapping at. if your smart enough you will know the difference between the 2 cards.

I dont go on bar size, but there making ATi's bar smaller than NV's for a reason.

I get that mav and so will most people but its still meant to make the ati card look bad. Its all about perception and the way i percieve that graph is the ati card looks crap compared to the nv card. Even more so because of the little red bar that barely shows up lol.
