Errr tough one. FM07 is well addictive but 08 just didnt grab me as much. Orange Box on the other hand... TF2 amazing

agree - got both - would feel like someone had cut of an arm if i had to choose!

TF2 is the best game i've played in ages for just pickup and blast away action!

If you have an old FM just stick with that and get the Orange Box. Otherwise get FM.

(or splash out and get both, both well worth it)

Riveting all the way through Ep2 and Portal, and indeed HL2 and E1 if you haven't played through those before, then you have TF2 for a long, long time afterward.

they are both £25 ? Go for Orange box - much better value for money imo.

My own personal opinion on fm2008 is thats its a rip-off (ive read a few reviews and they do say there is not a lot difference from the previous version except of course you get the player update)

And a player update plus some enhancements isnt worth £25 or £20. Not saying Fm2008 isnt a good game...just that fm2007 is also a good game and its not enough of an improvement to justify another purchase.

fm series is the one game that would even persuade me to do something naughty.... which i shouldnt say because its bad bad bad and i'll go to hell.

Buy the Orange box. Wait a while then buy Fm2008 after they have had a chance to develop a patch or two and get the game up to speed.
