PC wont boot up, mobo light does not come on

hi, i have just recieved my new things from ocuk today and once assembled the pc does not turn on at all, nor does the motherboard light.

I first thought it might be the PSU so i swapped it over and still no joy, i then tried my new PSU in my old computer and it worked fine. the motherboard does not seem to be touching anything in the case so i have ruled out it shorting out.

would i be right in thinking i have recieved a duff motherboard?

just tried unplugging everything from the psu (hard rives gfx etc) so just the motherboard is connected, still no luck.

Positive you got the spacers installed?

if you mean the metal things between the case and the motherboard then yes.

you plugged in the 24 pin and the small extra 4 pin power connecter ?

you wired the ffront switch up correctly ?

the 4pin one is next to the cpu, quite easy to miss.

seems to be the main problem with mine, similarities are the q6600 and the ram! gigabyte mobo too but i think different models - hope you get it fixed mate!

loads of ppl having problems with the lower end p35 gigabyte mobos, like i said i've had to rma mine.

yeah iv'e done all of the above and havn't wired the front switch wrong, in any case if i had the motherboard light should still come on.

looks like yet another RMA, everytime i order something worth getting i have to send something back

try reseating things... try different cables... etc..
