TV Aerial

Need to get a TV aerial installed, was thinking of an internal one (loft) but may have to go outside.

What sort of price am I looking at to have it installed and wired to a bedroom or two?

Just moved into a new property myself and it has no external Ariel so my freeview signal is so poor, you have to move the ariel every time you want to view a clear picture when channels are switched. Interested in what people have to say

I would expect to pay in the region of £150-£200 for a quality install by a knowledgeable installer and tested with a decent meter.

You can get them installed for about £100 but for how much TV's are generally watched it's worth the premium for a decent install.

Quality parts consist of galvanised brackets. Quality aerials with decent baluns. Decent CAI approved shielded cable.

I don't know of anyone in your specific areas, perhaps someone else can recommend somebody. Personal recommendation is usually a good start.

It cost my Dad £75 and put it into 2 rooms. It is a decent quality aerial which gets a strong high quality signal/picture at all times. Why you would spend £200 getting an aerial installed is totally beyond me.

I've heard it depends on the signal stregth of the area your in depends on the type of aerial you need (ie. poor signal area = expensive powerful aerial)

A1 Aerials are coming on monday to have a look. Anyone got anything on em?

No it's not a decent quality aerial. Now there is a chance you might be lucky enough with your location to get reliable reception even with your turd-o-vision aerial, but there's no way on this earth that for £75 you've got anything other than the cheapest & nastiest contract aerial & cable available.

They are a big firm so I wouldn't hold out much hope of getting a decent job, but I could be wrong.
