I've my headset plugged to the laptop so when somebody calls me, the ringer sound goes to the headphones and I keep missing calls. Is there a way to make the laptop screen flash when a call comes in? Or can Skype use the laptop's PC speaker? I keep forgetting to pull the headphones out of the jack!

You can make the PC speaker ring and pop up a box in the centre of the screen. All in Tools>Options.
For the PC speaker it's in General>Audio Settings>Ring PC Speaker.
The popup is in Notifications>show Skype call alert.
