I know we all do them - anyone that doesn't have a bit of a mischievous streak I am very suspicious of. However sometimes it's important to learn to stop doing them - but it's like a bad habit that's hard to break.

My main one - pulling out at junctions, going round tight bends or roundabouts with the backend coming out (on purpose). I love doing it, but it's so so stupid. I'm no driving god and obviously one of these days I'll screw up and spin the car or hit something. But.... it's just become a habit now and it's really hard to break myself out of it. It's a bit like going slightly over the speed limit, it's so common that it's almost become accepted and it's hard to conform.

Maybe it's just me - but do you have any bad habits that could be considered a little "dodgy"? What about my other RWD colleagues here? Do you ever do things just for the hell of it, or has it become part and parcel of having a RWD car?

I'm such a hooligan :o

i get irritated and honk at people who pull away slowly from lights.

i corner too fast, and just recently i've started nipping over the white line on a road i know well to accomplish the above.

the mrs however, coasts around corners.

Not wearing my seatbelt for short journeys. Last example was when I was popping across the trading estate to get some cash out of the hole in the wall, drove across a crossroads right in front of a Police Astra :o

2 chaps did a brief inspection of my car and asked me a few questions, gave me a freindly lecture and a 7 day wander.

always worn my seatbelt since!

When overtaking on the motorway if someone latches on to my rear bumper as I pull back in I occasionally drop a cog or 2 and nail it :o

I think you all should be very mindful of what you are doing and the fact the machine you are driving is in fact a killing machine and not simply a toy to play with. I really don't aprove of boy racers as I have seen too many people killed on the roads and the suffering that causes. Get a bus, its better for everyone all round.

lol, I do that too :D

I also have found myself teasing the back end of the GT out for fun lately.

It's incredibly immature, and, considering that thread about the guy going to jail, incredibly stupid.

I hate myself for it and it makes me a hypocrite as I'd call someone else for doing it (for the reasons Freefaller stated, one day losing it or whatever).

Thankfully (in a bad way, I suppose. it is fun) I don't drive the GT very often:D

LOL @ hooligan.

Came home last night to find a police car and a recovery truck at the end of my road. Looks like an MX5 driver had come round the corner with a bit too much gusto and planted the rear end (car not his/hers) through a brick wall :( Rear wheel drive cars in the wet at the hands of inexperienced drivers are lethal!

Have you SEEN what happens to you if you take a national express coach? YOU LOSE LIMBS! :(

How can you claim that's "better"?

Undertaking on the M3, seriously no one on the M3 has ever heard of 'Keep left except when overtaking'
Its a bad habit but gets me home so much quicker :)

Getting too close to cars infront, need to slip stream to save on the fuel!

Have a tendancy to handbrake turn into spaces in Tescos/Sainsburys.

I just cant resist roundabout, for example, when i approach my office theres a nice one, where i can slide it around nicely, im nearly always grinning profusely whilst im doing this, im sure the 15 year olds stood at the bus stop were pretty impressed this morning:p:o
