Don't even joke about killing a president, they don't have a sense of humour about that sort of thing.
 
Wow, pretty interesting, glad I still have the link open as it's been removed now.

What I don't understand is that he is still a registered user surely the first step would be to ban him?
 
I'd imagine if someone joked about assassinating the Prime Minister a few people might be angry.

They did....

They lifted the ban a few weeks later when he begged to apologise publicly (out of fear).

I doubt there would be a federal whatever turn up at Spie's house about it.

hmm...well it's not like it was casually mentioned in a joking manner.

He made an entire thread called "Let's kill bush (serious)"

It's hardly surprising that authorities were notified.... I mean seriously, if "being careful what you say on American forums" is not making threads dedicated to the assassination of a president, then I think we're all pretty safe from being investigated.
