Right, you can have pictures now, comments shall follow tomorrow after it's had a days use and I can properly judge it. So far though, it's very good.

I bought one yesterday from carphone warehouse on orange. Unlocked and no branding in green :) Great phone so far but i've had a few little bugs. When i first started it i didnt have any option to send a text message only a picture of an e-mail. A master reset soon sorted this. Battery life is also good compared to my S500i thats being repaired :(

Did you have the option to choose which colour?

That usually happens before Orange activate the SIM (when you receive those text messages that tell you to reboot the phone).

The phone looks great, currently got a K800i past it's 12months and can upgrade.

Just off the phone and been told i'd be charged at least £120 to upgrade. Been told it's because of the value of my bills for the last 12 months.... that'll teach me for using my work mobile instead!

I guess I should phone and ask for a PAC code and look at another network :(

After waiting a few months for this phone I finally received one yesterday... but having played about with it I've decided to stick with my K800i and return it.
The phone felt bulkier in the hand (although perhaps a tiny bit lighter..?) than the K800i, I wasn't that impressed with the pictures (was expecting a lot better), and it seems to be a bit slower than the K800.

Canary 30 with 10 months free line rental is also available which works out at a very tasty £390 total cost over 18 months - I'm seriously considering this package tbf.

bulkier? it's not got that stupid lens cover in the way but i think it's heaver. it is slower which is very strange really. Pictures are about what i was expecting, not much better but a few extra options like iso. Why not sell your k850 on the bay?

What length is the contract you got? I went into O2 at lunch and was told it would have to be a £35 pm contract to get the phone for free :(

18m. It was was ment to be 70 quid but without me asking he went into the store and came back said he could do it for me for free

Can anyone confirm what the phone feels like?

I like the fact that the K800i has the slightly rough rubbery feel to it (stops it slipping). Does the K850i have it too? I read about it being smooth.

It feels nice to me very smooth, not as heavy as most people say but comming from an N73 a house brick would feel good.

D Pad didn't take long to get used to, tried my old N73 today and cant stop touching the screen.

Yes there are a few bugs in it but no more than the crap Nokia are churnin out. Ohh and its a fingerprint magnet, but so far im well impressed.

It's heavier than my W800i and is a bit more bulky but it feels very good. The sides are rubbery but the back is smooth and slippery.

nands; having played with the k800i and myself loving the rubbery feel, I can assure you the k850i does _NOT_ have that same rubbery feel to it! :( I liked that rubbery feel, but this phone's not got it.

after a long debate with the carphone warehouse and a inspection with the n95 and the k850i , i took your advice guys and thanks ......................................
wait for it .......

i got the sony k850i , and got to say i aint been happier , got it today in the black and green colour , the silver and blue look did not do it for me .

unlocked with a 512 m2 card in the handset ( not sure if this is standard) , cracking peice of equipment for sure.

once i have had a better play with it tommorrow i will post a little mini review .

all in all so far i am totally satisfied , very swanky handset this one .
