You were warned
So what did the police do?
Will they let you know the outcome? They said they'd send someone round to the house the car is registered to and do a welfare check. Hopefully all was ok.
Will they let you know the outcome?

That's my thinking.Better safe than sorry, I'd have probably called them.
If the bloke is having a barny with his missus I'm sure he won't be too bothered if the Police just check everything is OK, if he's done nothing wrong then it's not a problem.
You just worded it better than I did.
Good on you jodieG im sure it'll all be ok!
I dont think you did the right thing, it was none of your business and she didnt get hurt, maybe they had an argument and they were a couple, you dont know what she done to him to make him angry. Wrong move.
Jodie, with data protection etc the cops will likely not be able to release a name and further details but is you are worried then you could ring Cambridgshire Police control room and ask to speak to the duty sergeant and ask if the outcome was ok. He or she will likely give that information.

On the topic of who Cliff is, seeing as JodieG is called JodieG it stands to reason she is a female, and therefore the mention of a male name would imply her partner.
I have no prior knowledge of that, just logic/common sense.
As for the actual topic, you did right phoning the police. Looking for the woman on the other hand could have landed you in danger if the man was indeed rather angry and violent.
Still, it's nice to know that there are people out there that do care about others, and try to help.
