Mentioning no competitors and that, is it possible to get this online cheaper than £39.99 new for the PS3? If so, exactly how much?

Ours lags in single player mode, in order to get it near playable we had to install to Hdd, disable commentary and stadium effects, and change camera view. Even then its running sub 30fps from my POV. Its appalling it really is, which is shame as behind that is an excellent game im sure

There's an option in the game menu.

Alleviates some slowdown to a degree. Changing the POV so not too many players are on screen (i.e. not 'wide') and disabling the commentary helps a bit, too.

Think I might rent this on the 360 to see if it's any better, as the PS3 version really is sub-par.
 
personally apart from the cut scene replays, ive suffered no slow-down at all. and i played my mate on friday before we went to the town. had about 10 games was excellent fun :D

That's just weird, single player is smooth as silk for me, it's just replays and cut scenes where I see the fps drop to silly levels. I've not fiddled with the settings either, it's all on default, but I've installed to the HDD.
 
I've installed onto the PS3's HD.

It helps, but I'm still getting slowdown in-game and it's by no means smooth as silk.

The tearing's really getting on my nerves, too.

That's crazy. Amazing that you have to install the game to a consoles HD, only to stand a chance of it running smoothly.

I'm sure sony said they wanted the PS3 to replace PC's, but I didn't know they were THAT serious!
 
Free Kicks: General Controls

Changing the Number of Kickers: Press the LB and RB buttons simultaneously to cycle through the following free kick configurations:
  • One Kicker - Default
  • Two Kickers - Second Kicker: Right Side
  • Two Kickers - Second Kicker: Left Side
Using the Second Kicker: Execute the free kick whilst holding down LB to make the second kicker make the shot or cross pass.
Second Kicker Rolls the Ball Forward: Hold down LB and then press A to make the second kicker roll the ball forward. You can make a shot or a pass from open play with the second kicker.
Alter Kick Direction: This feature enables you to fool opponents by lining up a shot at one side of the goal only to then shoot at the opposite side. Press the X button and then press the LB when the power guage to shoot to the left, or RB to shoot to the right.

I would assume you just pull in 2 players then hit it as a regular shot.
 
Hmm.. found a weird bug in the Xbox 360 version. Sometimes the game ghosts really bad (like a dream sequence from Max Payne :p). The ghositng lasts until the end of the half and then resets.

Oh well, I can finally play as Spurs in a Pro Evo game so I'm happy. :)
 
Konami please get the online sorted! If you do, it'll be the best Pro I've played!

I've even resorted to playing single player which I don't normally do, and I'm loving it!
