I already have 2 gig of the corsair dominator brand, and I just want to make sure before I buy that if I get 2 gig of the aforementioned memory will the sticks be compatible. Thanks in advance.

Are they rated the same - 6400 and timings? Also check the volts as the domniators usually need higher volts. You would be better off getting another set of dominator sticks - ocuk has the 6400 c4 ones at same price as the xms one anyway

Good advice from Ted34. Mixing the memory "should" work but there is no guarantee. It's possible you'd be mixing 64mb ICs on the Dominators with 128mb ICs on the DHX (it depends on the revision of the DHX) which is not a good idea. Go with a matching set of Dominators if you can find them.

I am in same boat, I bought a 4GB Dominator ( there was no 4GB kits on their site and the ones now on site is not the kit I got), it didnt OC as I was warned after I nought it and I got rid of it.

I then ordered 2GB Dominator here and got DHX instead with a Green flash on the Sticker, the currrent ones all have a Purple flash. (Im very confused).

There are some that are orange also  I need to ask marketing about this. I have seen green and orange on the DHX but not purple. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I want to get hold of some XMS2 pc2-6400C4D (2x1Gb) to match my current set, cant seem to find anyone that sells it though :(

I'm sure I got this lot from OcUk as well
I don't want to have to resort to the bay :(

How can I find this particular RAM? What particular information should I be looking for?

There is a pair of PC2-6400C4D on the popular auction site for over £60 :o its over £80 now!

BTW, Is there a significant difference between the dominator C4D and the other C4DHX modules that I keep finding?

In this case, your existing memory has Promos ICs. So, you need to buy something to match it with Promos ICs. The DHX memory using Promos is essentially the EXACT same as the comparable Dominator.
