Microphone probs in Vista!

Control Panel > Sound > Recording...

There should be a green tick next to the microphone icon and it should say "working" under the device details. If not you may need to set it as default.

It says it is working bbut i got too many options to decide to use for with my XFi Fatality :S and none of thouse really makes a change ! I tried with 3 different mics!

Right lets try again ! I got Fx Fatality sound card and i dunno why but i cant get the mic working! here is a screen shoot, i have been trying to play around with setting now already for 2 hours! No result :S



anyone who maybe has same saund card could let me know what you got ticket etc.

Edited: found something interisting here as well , well i cant roll my driver back but will try to find an older one ! Anyway any help appreciated!

Mine works, but just sound like its been dropped into water. Disabling it and enabling it then maybe a few restarts and the thing sounds fine, its so temperamental it does my head in.
 
I had that exact problem with an X-FI Xtreme and the only way was to use the onboard sound mic port, the X-FI will still function work using the onboard sound mic, I couldn’t find a solution :(
