the graphic card immediately heats up to 69 degrees when the computer is switched on and after about 10 mins of gamin it heats up to 71 is this right for a stock 8800gtx

Doesn't seem too crazy, my GTS gets to 87 C when under load, albeit overclocked but my friend's GTX was about those temps and it clocked a fair bit before becoming unstable :)

Perfectly fine, mine went up to 79c when it was at stock. Even if you overclock the temps don't rise that much, I'm running at ultra clocks and my card maxes out around 83c.

haha my 6800gs used to hit 125 when under load for a while, kept tabbing me out of the damm game!!

What did ya do to it lol, mine is 55 C under load idling around 40...

Okay I got a Zalman VF700 on it but still, 125 C? I had that only once when
I accidently stuck a molex into the fan itself causing it to not spin, It smelled like burned glue or something when I was playing medieval 2 that's how I found out a molex plug got stuck in the fan.
The whole area around the gfx card had boiling hot air and even the pcb was hot to the touch.
