It's being DDoS'd, the forums are down and the front page was working 1 min ago.

it is down due to high traffic. They said if they left it open it would crash. this was on Friday i think.

It's been down everytime I've tried recently, I guess saving money on your hosting doesn't pay off.

The high amount of traffic is probable due to Martin Lewis being on TV the other night, Im sure he pluged his site a few times on the show, I did'nt watch it but remember reading about it in the Radio Times.

You can't protect against a DDOS attack, it's not like a firewall, the only way you can defend is to absorb the incoming bandwidth by getting a huge pipe. They should really upgrade the connection and servers though because I think it's probably legitimate traffic, the website is mentioned on the radio, TV and in print several times a week, not to mention the facebook groups such as the one against bank charges that links to his site.

Another site I use is SayNoTo0870. Whenever I am calling a company I look up the geographic number.

They probably cant get a pipe big enough, it's probably all the banks and such like launching the DDOS lol.
