Where is the best place to get a months insurance,

dad has lent a car off a friend to use sort term, and it only needs to be insured for 1 month.

Get insured with X after ~12 days phone up and cancel and send back the certificate and get a full refund. Get insured on another company straight away and repeat.

You get a 14 day cooling off period with insurance. As long as you dont have an accident you get the premium back.

This is only worth doing though if you cant get any reasonable price for 1 months insurance because if you do crash then you will have to pay the years premium, tis a gamble I guess
 
We ran our Astra 1.4 on a weekly policy when we bought our CTR, whilst we were looking to sell.

We had our policy with Admiral, so we went with them. It cost £15/week or £50/month. Just phone your insurance company and ask them. It'll probably be cheaper as you already have a policy with them.

/Alternatively since properly reading the OP, just get your Dad's mate to do what I just said.

You don't get a full refund you have you pay for time on cover.

Day insure will insure for upto 28 days in one go. It is around £14 per day but the longer you insure it for, the lower the cost. Iirc it was about £150? for 28 days though that may be completely wrong!
