How do you know when you have recieved a gift?

I was in the queue for HL2, but nothing has popped up yet. Should finish HL1 today and want to jump straight into HL2.

You should get an email from steam informing you.

Has anyone offered you a copy? I don't think people who have the game come here, find someone without and just offer?

I gave my copies of HL2 and EP1 away, but I posted asking who wants, and first response got my copies.

So if I were you I would keep coming here and asking, or look for people (like me) that post they have the games, and who wants it... get in there quick and you should be good.

But I wouldn't just wait around hoping someone with it finds you and offers it... gotta make yourself heard!

Yep I was offered a copy, as I say I was on the list

Just pretty new to steam and was'nt sure what happened after it got sent. I was expecting a pop-up in Steam or something. I'll check my junk mail box then.

No rush - I thought I had nearly finished HL1 when I killed the giant 3 arm tenticle thing but im not even half way through yet

steam does tell you that you have a gift, and it should also appear in your games tab

, however there seems to a prob with your steam ID & i cant send it there. What is the email address your steam ID is assoiated with ? you can mail it to my email (found in trust) then i will deffo get it sorted today for you
