The step up is slow and not worth the hassle

They are all the same.

Apart from clocks (something you can do yourself)

People said that aboout the 2900 and I found it to be as loud as the aeroplane I went to portugal on.

Well with it being a 65nm part I can't really see it getting that hot / loud.

no one has one yet but there crappy coolers so funny.reviewers had said its pretty quiet.

After speaking to someone who did one of the online reviews, the card has a high pitched whine to it due to the little fast spinning cooler. So yes it is annoying & somewhat loud to.

The crappy cooler is there for a reason - to slow it down. No doubt the newer GTS will clock higher due to better cooling and higher core voltages. One site has mentioned GTS's will has 700core/2000mem speeds, plus an extra 64bit memory bandwidth. They are suggesting the GTX will be 750/2400.
