Some randomer said it as a speculation in another thread, and due to the unique nature of the internet, it has now been taken as gospel!

Excited to the point where you can't sleep about a graphics card?

LOL.

There's a first.

No, I said I dare not go to sleep, I can get to sleep, I just dont want to get up and see they are all out of stock!, I cant live with this celery anymore!!!.

I mite go to another forum somewhere and start a thread saying that the new GTS will be out at 12pm on the 19th November and see how far it spreads!

Was referring to the other guy who said he couldn't sleep.

2PM is being thrown around as it is the norm for these releases.

So we've established then that 2pm came off the top of someones head. Frankly I think 13:42 is a far, far more accurate release time.

Yes it will always be off the top of someones head as no specific information is ever given on the build up of these launches from Retailers.

Blame these guys.

It's clear that 8800GT will appear in the market in monday, 29th Oct. But maybe you are all thinking about the second G92 product: new 8800GTS.

According to the sources, the new 65nm 8800GTS will announce in Monday,19th Nov, a week later than 780i(12nd Nov). The price is CNY2299(~305 USD) .

It's known new 8800GTS will have 128 SP. But still no evdience about the core clock, memory clock and shader clock. The score we have earlier already prove that 8800GT can beat 8800GTS(old). And we believe the 65nm 8800GTS(new) will better than 8800GTX(old).

So please be awared of 29th Oct,and 29th Nov. And please remember the RV670 will be coming 15th Nov

I still really struggle to understand why nvidia would release 2 cards with completely different gpus under the same name? makes no sence, confuses the consumer, and will make pricing friggin awfully confusing for retailers? not to mention, would basically kill the already pointless ultra... unless someone wants to start a rumor on a new one of them?

I think the 2pm thing comes from the fact that the 7800GTX, 7900GTX and the 8800GTX were all released at 2pm so its only logical that the 8800GT is the same.

If the logic of 2pm is that it's 9am US (EST) then that's not correct for this week as their clocks didn't move. They're only 4 hours behind us currently so could be 1pm here.

Azza, i'm sorry mate but the 2nd pic has a competitor in too :P So i guess you missed 2!

I can't wait to see how much these are going for. I'll hold on to my 7900GS till after christmas though, since it wont be worth anything anyway! I'll buy the GT then.

Componenets>graphics and video>8800gt series...

My new PSU has just arrived -thank you ocuk- just need the new card to go with it.
