Whos ditching 8800 for new rev?

hmmmm this has got me thinking dont no whether im right or wrong so dont come at me with your axes :p but on toms it says when overclocked to 682(what theyd octo)it was on par or superior to a gtx computing power , well the evga super clocked ones come in at 700 so whats the score really:confused: as basically its a gtx klller then.170.00 for a gtx at stock.if thats true then gtx value just went down a hell of a lot.maybe a gtx is going to have a silly resell value of like 170 in next few weeks omg.

Sorry for not reading the previous 19 pages, but can someone answer a quick question please?

Is the 8800GT Nvidia's last card this year or are they launching a successor to the 8800GTX/Ultra? TIA.

Mine was £220 or best offer quite happy about £200 as only paid £214 for it brand new & he has already paid.

Just called a shop in london & all they could confirm is that they are getting them in today but wouldn't give nothing else away.
 
Well I'm shocked, a competitor got an Asus 8800GT for 200 INC VAT :o, thats a total rip hope OcUK aint like that!!.
 
Finding it extremely hard to shift my 6 week old 8800GTX even at £250.

Tempted to drop it a tad more and maybe go for the new GTS when its out.

But then Tom's hardware reported the GT being quiter than the 8800GTS & 2900XT, so we'll just have to wait for other users or get one and find out ourselves.
