my mate (james) has a dax turbo rush powered by a calibra turbo lump, its kicking out circa 450hp and is totally and utterly insane, it was due to be in TOTB but he bent the car doing a full bore launch at the pod!

Depends how much power you want, but for power/price i would go for a k series or zetec.

zetec with some bike throttle bodies.

i've just sold some throttle bodies for a 750 on ebay to someone who wants it for a kit car i reckon as i had lots of people asking my inlet sizes.

Can get them for pennies these days and go like stink at standard, few mods easy 250+ in a shell that weighs 'less than a fart'.

Going price for a standard LET is around £1,000.

you can get an SR20 for like £200 used and an Avenair SR20DET for probably £700-800 which is like 220BHP Stock, and can easily go above 300bhp..
