New car brokers - Car now ordered

they have them in the 3 series ragtops, I wonder why they didn't use them on the Z4?

Yep and they look really smart, don' know why they didn't use them on the Z4 :(

I never thought of that, the silver seems to break it up quite nicely now that you mention it.

Try and pop into a couple of dealers, the piano black will also mark really easily, fingerprints etc. Have a look but I would say silver would be a better bet (it's like a brushed aluminium finish).

I'm not going to go too mad with the options as it gets expensive but I'm fairly set on the following:
Individual Imola red / Anthracite leather
Individual Carbon Black paint
Piano Black trim
Comfort pack (multi function wheel, rear parking sensors and storage pack)
Hi-Fi stereo with 6CD changer
Bluetooth prep
Cruise control
Xenon headlights
Gradual tint windscreen + sun protect glass

I want the professional Satnav system but it's gonna bump the price above my budget. Besides, I can get a Tomtom for about £200 :p

Looks good, only thing I would add would be the SatNav. The Hi-Fi is well worth it, I had it in the old Z4 and it's the one thing I miss. Rear visibilty is pretty bad on the coupe so PDC is useful. I've not seen one in Carbon black, how does it differ from Sapp?

Yeah but you need "M" hubs, they won't fit on anything than the Z4M, they might fit on the Coupe though.

If they do fit on the Coupe (which I think they might) CSL wheels would be a must :)

Well, it's official. I'm now a grand lighter and I have my name on a car to be delivered on 1st March '08. This is going to be the longset 4 months EVER!

Thanks for the advice everyone. I went for the individual two tone trim in the end instead of piano black. The salesman said that the piano black was a pain in the ass to keep clean and thoroughly recommended the two tone trim which matches the leather.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO:D

Very nice matey, enjoy :) Glad you stayed away from the Piano black, I've seen it in a couple of cas I didn't realy like it.

Wow congratulations Scuzi!! All this new car talk is really wanting me to order a 325 or 330 M Sport coupe, been looking for a decent 2nd hand one but it's still impossible to find one for a reasonable price. I might give that website a go. :)

There is no USB available for the Z4 as it is one of the last cars using the ibus system (the other one being the X3). However if you change your mind and get nav I would recommend an Intravee for the ipod. :)

Whats the Intravee? I already have an AUX port to connect my iPod to but you can't scroll through playlists etc from the nav screen or steering wheel. Does this add that functionality?

Congrats mate

Who did you go with in the end, did you manage to get a good deal?

I didn't go with the absolute cheapest deal but I managed to wangle £2.5k off list through my local dealer in NI. The cheapest deal (£3200 off list) was through a dealership in Devon which isn't exactly handy :p

But yeah, 4 months is a long time but I think it'll be worth the wait for the right car. They had a few cars in the UK at the minute which were sapphire black and had the dream red leather but i really had my heart set on the two tone leather so thought it better to wait.

Wicksta, go on you know you want to, it makes perfect sense ;)

Yes :)

Scuzi I've had a look at those sites, DTD seems to only save about £1500 on a 325 however Broadspeed seems to come out with about £2500 off. It's surprising how close the new price is to an Approved Used E92 M Sport - will have to speak to the boss when she gets in. :D

Blimey, 4 months! I was twitching like mad waiting a week for my CTR!

Very nice car though, and it'll be well worth the wait ;)

Why the coupe over the roadster?

Handles better, looks better (IMO), more exclusive on the roads, cheaper to buy for the same spec and it's much cheaper to insure.

It's also the only car out there at the minute that I really love the look of. No other car within reason really does it for me like the Coupe does.

My local dealer? I'd have delivered it to you for free ;)
