In the last couple of weeks I purchased a EVGA 8800GTS 320MB - I registered on the EVGA website and I am still within my Step Up period with 68 days left.

Do you reckon this should be possible? I had a look on the EVGA forums and it looks like I can.

Has anyone got experience with the step up program? Do I have to send the card to the US? I don't want to spend up to a month without a decent graphics card.

Thanks.

It can be a lot faster selling your old card and just buying a new one.
I have had a few EVGA but the hassle of the step up wasn't worth it.

Dose anybody else have any more info on this, i too 2 weeks ago purchased a evga 8800 gts and am now a bit miffed that they have brought a new card out thats cheaper got more memory and runs faster.

EVGA can't be blamed for you not doing your research...

Sorry but that was rather stupid. People have been cosntantly talking about new cards. Always do research there is always something round the corner in the pc world. While you cant wait indefinitely, things like this you would ahve been a fool not to have waited for. We all kept saying there are new rev of all the cards on both ati and nvida coming out. Your GTS is going to be droping in price fast, id sell it. Some are selling for 200 quid to the ignorant people taht dont research. If you get offered 150+ id still take it. Come next week when people start relising tyhey can get the GT which is faster it will drop a lot more. Then again there is always some compulsive buyer on ebay that isn't clued up.
