Xbox Live and My Windows Passport

Hi guys,

I initially made an xbox live account with my hotmail address (Sillyporean) and a few weeks later, abandoned it and made a completely new account and have it under my Gmail account (Dr Pharmacology).

So basically, with windows live passport being a MS "universal" login, when my browser logs into my Hotmail to check mails e.t.c. and I click on people's Xbox Live profile to compare games, I automatically logs in as my initial Xbox Live Account (Sillyporean), which was abandoned.

I've tried changing my email address on both account (under account management), switched them around and it doesn't work. I log in to my hotmail and I still get directed to my Sillyporean account.

Anyone know of any ways to get around this problem?

I would also like to know the answer to this, as I am in the same situation. I may resort to phoning xbox live up!

Also in the same boat. Remember reading a while ago that it couldn't be changed though :/

Wow, I'm surprised a few of you guys are in the same boat...

One thing I don't understand is, why don't MS allow "Account Delete" in our settings? That would have been so much simpler.

Have you tried creating a 2nd passport account on your computer using your gmail addy as the email ?

that should help with the problem of looking at peoples achievements however I have a feeling every time you log into your old hotmail account it may reset the "passport" windows uses to your original one.

Yup, that's what happen - plus, I don't use my Gmail on http, I use my Mail client. It is not a big issue, just a rather annoying inconvenience.
