Just under £800, worth it or should I cancel the order and look for something different? (I know very little about todays components)

Thanks.

Not sure about the components, have you had a test ride, for that price you should. But for 800 it's probably gonna be decent.

But it's a nasty colour...what is that? Mustard?

Test rides out of the question as it's an internet order, the only bike shop near me is Halfords with their craptastic range of Apollos and Falcons. It's not yellow, it's supposed to be 'Anodized Lime Green'.

Its fine, there's no need for the attitude. It just would have made sense to ask for thoughts and opinions first, no?

I had to at least reserve it now as it's on special offer, £200 off and by the time I'd had replies from people who know about bikes it might have already been sold, then again, it might be on sale because it's a pile of crap but it's better to be optimistic about it.

I wouldn't be happy about spending £800 on something I can't test ride first. Hell, I made sure I test rode 3 bikes extensively before settling on spending £400 on a GT Avalanche 2.0.

Personally I would have went for a Merlin - http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/?fn=product&productId=42&categoryId=39

They always get rave reviews. The frames are second to none.

Just spotted this - http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/?fn=product&productId=561&categoryId=100 Fantastic bike for the money. Look at the spec.

I was tempted by a Malt initially but the spec of the one I picked was a lot better, might sound daft, as nice as that Rock Lobster is, it's £50 over my budget, £800 was my max.
