Sister is off to New York in a couple of weeks so I have postponed my trip to the Abercrombie store as everything is half price over there, i'm just trying to think of anything that is considerably cheaper over there that I may have missed out?

Any particular ranges particularly cheaper? Abercrombie and Ralph Lauren polos are already on the list, perhaps an iPhone (compatibility issues?)

(Never been to NYC so any help is very much welcome!)

Thanks

If you go to Macy's and decide to buy anything that's not already discounted, pick up an 11% discount voucher first (assuming you still can get those).

iPhones don't fail, but trying to import them back into the UK certainly does, so don't. :)

A phone which lacks basic functionality like the ability to forward a text message, or perhaps send one to more than one person, fails. It's a fashion statement and nothing more.

Fair point. Actually, now I think about it, the iPhone does fail, simply because it lacks 3G. Battery life be damned.

I spent a good 2 hours in Macy's NY, everything just seemed cheap:o

Yup, well it was in September.

I bought 2 pairs of Timberland boots for $45 each at Macy's in 2002 and it was about $1.55 to the Pound then.

At current exchange rates you are pretty much quids in whatever you buy.

Century 21 is a lot cheaper than macy's from my experience (just got back from NY last week).
And that was despite the 1 day sale at macy's, going to places like tiffany's and asking to try on 1/2million necklaces is fun too :p

Alcohol is pretty cheap too, 1litre per 18+ though, so rather limited.

Oh, and steer clear of Zoom airlines...had about 36 hours of delay and a near plane crash because of them.

Im off to Florida for a week on 1st of dec with work. Clothing does seem to be the best buy over there. Ipods aren't that much cheaper.

Only other thing I was after at the moment was a DSLR camera

DSLR's work out a lot cheaper? I've just come into £250 and need a new camera and parents are going out in December! What would anyone recommend?
