I'm talking about guys who ride/drive above the speed limit during unsuitable conditions, people who intentionally speed up when you overtake, who stamp on the brakes to slow you down, try to block you when you overtake etc.

I was driving down the M2 one morning in december and there was almost no traffic on it, yet for some reason a guy in a white van just moved to the right hand land and hit me in the face with his wing mirror. There was no damage, other than a slightly sore nose (squashed against the visor) so he just gave me the thumbs up and we both went about our business.

Also, what sort of speeds do you guys consider inappropriate, I'm just weird I guess, never break a speed limit around town, but on other roads I drive at a speed appropriate to the conditons ;) .

No, if people drive up my rear, the brakes will be going on.

if they undertake on purpose the foot will be going down.

Other than that I'm a very carm driver, couldn't careless. even if people hit me of the road as long as there nice and apologetic, I'm not bothered.

Had some idiot in a tesco delivery van pull out on me at a junction today, had to swerve hard to miss the git.

would have reported him to Tesco's but he drove off to quick.

Some guy nearly pulled from the fast lane straight into me on a bend.

I saw him coming though, so moved further across whilst planting my foot to the floor.

I didn't even rage or anything, jus' thought 'what an idiot' and kept on driving (probably because it happens fairly often these days).

I've only ever reported another driver to the police once and that was in Bournemouth a couple of years ago. I was on my way home from work when a Fiesta full of chavs pulled up alongside me. The driver had a tin of Stella in his hand and was drinking from it. He cut me up at the traffic lights and sped off.

There was a polica car two cars behind me who couldn't possibly have missed it yet they didn't pursue this person. It annoyed me so I called the station and told them about it. I doubt they took any action though.

Am i missing something here or have i miss read and miss understood this - the white vans wing mirror entered your window and smacked you in the face ???????? Im assuming you were already in the right hand lane, im assuming he was moving from left to right, so im assuming your passenger window was open and he broad sided you and his (drivers side) mirror entered through you passenger window and hit you in the face ?????????? Im guessing i ve got this totally wrong.

Or he was on a bike. ;)

Now you put it that way, driving rather than riding and visor - i took to be sun visor, well it is late :D That would have made for one hell of a long wing mirror

I will always report people who look they are racing through town, im normally able to instantly remember the numberplates and go back to the police with them.. street racing is a big problem round Staffordshire, it does my head in.

lol :o how small are you lol?

Only once, me and my mate went out, I was driving so no drink for me, he had a few but was sober, we were driving through town and saw a car pull out in front of us that was all over the place, mounted the pavement a few times, was swerving over the white lines.
As we were coming up to some traffic lights, there was a police van parked up 100yds before it, and the drunk driver drove perfectly past him, stopped at the lights, so we pulled up next to the van and my mate wound the window down and reported him, instant blue lights and he sped off, blocked the drunks car and two other police cars showed up within a minuted and dragged him out of the car.

We felt righteous for a few days for doing the right thing, as that guy couldn't even stand properly.

If they undertake you on purpose, you're in the wrong lane. Move over.

Not necessarily, on two lane dual carriageways, there is no point to pull over if there is 400 yds or so between the lorry you just overtook and the next one, so 99% of the time, everyone just follows the outside lane. Someone who in this time undertakes you is clearly an idiot and I won't let them back in.

If the person is going quiker than you, then you should move in and let them past, regardless of what people do 99% of the time.

This is exactly what leads to the outside lane getting clogged by idiots. The number of times I have seen a big queue which looks like it's being lead by some utter moron holding people up, only to see said moron pull in and the person behind them carry on at the same speed, oblivious. If people just used the lane for what it was intended, i.e. overtaking and pulled back in afterwards to let quicker people through we wouldn't get this situation.

I give outside lane hoggers the benefit of the doubt for a reasonable period (e.g. 1/2 mile or so) then then quickly pass them on the inside at a safe opportunity. The usually get quite upset, but hopefully their increased blood pressure will see these cretins off the road sooner rather than later.

i think someone reported me to the police before when i was out on a late night b-road thrash, may have been someone going the other way etc as i didnt have to overtake anyone that night, but got to the end of the road and there were a fair few police waiting for me. id backed off a fair bit earlier and played dumb.

ive almost called the police after seeing someone blatently wasted behind the wheel.

I wasn't on about outside Lane hoggers, I was on about the outside is full of cars, the inside is slower cars/lorries etc, and if there was a 500yd gap between two vehicles, there is no point in pulling in. If you did, you would be stuck at 55mph not able to get back into the outside lane again...
