well thats just great - alcohol and bacon give you cancer now

Look forget about cancer.

The only thing you need to worry about is the below fact proven over the millenia:

"Life is a sexually transmitted disease with 100% fatality"

These stats are probably the government's way of avoiding disclosing the real causes of many diseases.

I say probably, I left my tin hat at home today.

Id rather die at 50 having eating good food all my life then die at 90 eating vitamin supps (which also give you cancer) and various leaves.

When they tell me sex is bad, then I'll start to worry. Of course, sex can be bad, but then I'm lucky I've found this particular person I guess.

Masturbation causes cancer too. Sorry.

No it doesnt:p

It reduces the chance of getting prostate cancer.

So if i get prostate cancer im going to be very very very unhappy because there has been a lot of preventative measures taken and it would be sad to see all that work go down the drain:p

Sad? What else do you do with it? :p

Depends whos home, If no ones home its going down the drain.

If im in my room and some ones home so i cant cross the passage with out being seen its every peice paper, tissure, old towel for its self:p

Aye, its poor research. For example, "Scienticians" using statistics have shown that getting more than 8 hours of sleep a night SHORTENS LIFE EXPECTANCY.

This is purely because they've taken how many hours of sleep people had and compared it to how long they lived, somehow proving that people who sleep long die young. The fact is they ignore the multitude of other factors - for example, someone who sleeps for 10 hours a night probably has a very sedentary lifestyle, maybe has a bad diet and so on.

i just had a chicken and bacon salad with 2 glasses of red wine for lunch.

looks like i'm screwed!

oh well

:D

It shouldnt, but after reading this thread - i have a mighty craving for bacon sandwiches!! :D

And btw, never let anything like this put you off anything, if eating bacon makes you happy - go for it :)

You do realize that it's more likely that it's the media who make these "headliners" after looking at the reports for, oh, all of 5 mins?

The researchers just handed out a report saying that if you eat excessive amounts of processed meat, drink too much and are over your recommended weight (and lets be fair, the are a lot of fat barstewards about these days) you are more likely to be diagnosed with a type of cancer.

Anything in excess is bad for you, especially badly written media reports ;)
