GPU temps in Vista 64

everest latest beta, lets you see the GPU, Diode, etc...

safe, thats debatable... i would say no higher than 90c max on an Ultra, although im sure the thermal cut off is around 127c ;oO

I think you can do it through the ntune monitor that installs iteslf into the nv control panel when you install ntune (V2.5 IIRC) - I managed to get some temps up last night - but didnt have time to check into it more.

I heard ntune is crap. Then again everything is to some people LOL

Yeah its not great - no shader control for a start. Yes, you can monitor temps by running the monitor that comes with the download.
Use Riva - fiddly if you dont know what you're doing but google "Riva fan guide" and you'll get a nice walk through what you need to do. Pain with vista and autostarting though, have to disable UAC for now.

Rivatuner works excellently, and setting your own fan profile is a godsend on stock coolers if you are worried about temps :)

Having said that, not tried it on SLi ....
