So who is going? And what are your Ales to look out for over the festival?

They have 50 Ales to taste from the 1st of November until the 18th and the special 1/3 pint glasses so that you can try 3 ales for the price of 1. Afterwards you can rate them online at the wetherspoons website.

This might actually be the first time I actually make the decision to go to Wetherspoons, rather than get dragged along!

i recently went to the GABF (Great American Beer Festival)

needless to say i got totally wasted and had a laugh.

you will love it i am sure!!

:D

For anything good?

Nope not really.

We were next door to the Wetherspoons watching England play Russia. When it finished, only had 3 pints at this time, we went to the Wetherspoons for a couple. Got in there, it was dead. Anyway, had a pint. We were having a laugh, manager came over and said to keep the noise down. A mate started to ask why, it was not like there was anyone in there. She then asked him to leave, saying he had too much. He would'nt go at first so she said to get out or else he was barred. Well he did'nt go right away so she barred him. He went outside.

I tried to argue his case, and she said to the same to me. I got my marching orders :p

I would'nt mind, but usually go in there after work for a few beers. The usual manager, we are friends with her and get along. This occasion though she was off, sods law we get barred from the 'stand-in' manager :p

Oh well, there is always another Wetherspoon down the road...

£1.50 for the Ale festival?

Regards to anything else in Wetherspoons, price varies from chain to chain does'nt it?
