Think-tank says 'downgrade Christmas'

Did they actually spend money on this research? What a bloody waste!
I'd be surprised if anyone was actually offended by the UK celebrating the holiday, was no doubt some white do-gooder fools that don't want the immigrants to have their feelings hurt.
I'm not religious but I like the celebrations at Christmas, I get to see my family and friends and most people seem to have an enjoyable time.

Think tank, **** off.
 
Christmas is freaking awesome, I say upgrade the mother.

The only change I would make is that shops shouldn't be able to display anything Christmassy until we are well into November. Decorations being sold in September just spoils the build up, and by the time it comes it's lost that special feel.

That a load of **** and the people who are miserable, argue and feel forced to enjoy it will do so at any event not especially for xmas.

My family and wife’s family love xmas and have a great time over the holiday.

You lot on here have a really bleak outlook on life….. :p

So what if it has Christian connotations, and why does that actually offend or get people up tight? The people who whinge on about Christianity and religion are a joke half the time, and most can’t even segregate or comprehend the difference between the denominations or what proper Christianity is and just label it all under one hat.

Companies seem to bend over backwards for people during Ramadan.

(Thats not a dig at those who celebrate Ramadan)
 
Christmas (sorry Winter Celebration Day :p ) isn't about God or Jesus or whatever, it's about family. Spending time as a family together. It's also about giving and this doesn't mean tat like Playstation 3s or whatever, rather it means giving something that means something to the person you are giving to.

Technically I don't celebrate Christmas as I celebrate Winter Solstice (Yule) but I love the fact that all of our family gets together and has a right good laugh. Now some government think tank wants to take this away? WTF? Seriously and we fund this idiots via taxes. If the imigrants don't like it they can **** off along with the think tank!

I wouldn't dream of going to another country and demanding that they do nothing patriotic or in keeping with their culture

We are seen as a pathetic walk-over by other countries and this is just not helping. It's people like this which lead to extremist parties like the BNP gaining so much support
