Lo all,

Is it me or is Winter the best time to buy a car? I've seen prices fall recently on a number of cars I've been after and I'm now in a position to purchase one.

I realise viewing after work is a no-no because of the lack of natural light to see any imperfections so it must be tough to sell in this part of the year, with only weekends being the only option to view a car if you work Mon-Fri, 9-5.

I'm after a Clio 172 FF and there aren't many in the East Midlands area currently for sale that haven't been molested, where is the best place for this region to try and source one? I'm hoping to pay in the region of £5k, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's advertised for £5k as a bit of haggling has got to be done.

I'd prefer to buy Trade as well because I can then trade in my car as part of the deal and also get some Warranty.

You can still view in the evenings, take it for a spin and park it somewhere where there's plenty of light - like a petrol station. You can always arrange to view it again on the weekend if you think it's good enough to.

NoW and up until xmas must be a good time to buy , becasue I know first hand this time of year no ****** wants to buy cars. just my 2p worth and no doubt wrong on the nationwide scale

Seconded.

Never buy a convertible in the summer, also. ;)
