Morning all,

Naruto: Rise of a Ninja has been released today and seems to be getting very good reviews from most sources even though it is supposed to be fairly short. Im not sure whether its worth spending £30 though and I havent heard anything about it on here.

Anyone got it? Worth buying?
 
My daughter absolutely loves it, she is Naratu/Anime daft though. I was watching her play it, the graphics are absolutely gorgous, i will probably give it a go at the weekend myself.
 
Yes, the Anime style is the first thing that got me interested in it. Looks sublime.

Any idea what the online side part of the game plays like? If the single player is fairly short then this could make up for that if it was any good. Reviews dont give much away.
 
Been waiting for this for awhile and was thinking about making a thread about it actually.

Anyone that has the game can they check to see if the JPN Voice Pack is available yet?

Also is Shikamaru available as well? I think you can download it either by XBL or by using the exclusive content on the main menu.
 
Woh woh woh. It doesn't include the original Japanese voice actors? Aww man. That's the only thing stopping me from getting it.

I read a review of it today over a Kotaku and they said the online fighting Tournament was pretty sweet. Infact they didn't have anything bad to say about the game at all.
 
No it's just part one.

I'm really not happy about it either but you might want to edit that word out. I used "wizzed off" ;p
 
The Japanese voice acting are going to be a free download in the near future, they are definatly on the way.

May wait for the people who are buying it today to give some feedback, especially about the online part, before I commit to buying.
 
It just covers the story from episode 1-80 because they want to lead western audiences and people new to the show into it.
No Japanese voices is a shame as the American ones really are terrible, Naruto's being the worst of the bunch imo. A voice patch at a later date could be a great excuse to play the story mode again though. :)

Online mode from all the reviews I've seen so far appears to be one of the plus points of the game.
 
What sort of game is this? I really have no clue about Naruto.

Edit: Nevermind, I just read the IGN review. Looks quite good!

action/adventure,
if you go on youtube, and type in naruto episode 1, there should be a few videos showing you the episodes. its all about like ninja's and techniques and so forth. I think its really interesting and a good watch. i might pick this up nearer christmas time as i'm too worried about college work suffering if i get this :(:o

p.s. DO NOT buy the Naruto Season 1 DVD its got like 14 episodes or something >.< and theres about 220 episodes of Naruto, and more recently about 30 Episodes of "Naruto Shippuden" which is when they're all older, but thats only out in japan/eastern countries.

It is my great pleasure to finally officially confirm that Japanese voices will be available for Naruto: Rise of a Ninja in a free post-launch download. Here is a short list of some of the cast that will be lending their voices:

* Junko Takeuchi - Uzumaki Naruto
* Kazuhiko Inoue - Hatake Kakashi
* Chie Nakamura - Haruno Sakura
* Noriaki Sugiyama - Uchiha Sasuke
* Kujira - Orochimaru
* Akira Ishida - Sabaku no Gaara



The list above is only some of the Japanese voices cast that will be included in the game. So don’t worry if your favorite character isn’t listed above, the ENTIRE GAME will be in Japanese. This includes Story Mode, Fight Mode, all your favorite characters, the NPC Leaf Village characters as well as the anime cut scenes!

The final thing I’d like to point out, is that you do not need a Xbox Live Gold account to download this. A free Silver account will work as well, so don’t worry!

So its going to be free and its going to be released soon. Its all in JPN as well so thats rather cool.
 
I do quite like some anime, but have absolutely no idea what naruto series is about, only that I see enough fanboi/girls of the show on the internet everyday to know it's "just a bit" popular alright, gonna pick up or rent this game today, some solid reviews, graphics look gorgeous and seems like a larf.
 
I saw this a few months back on GamerTV and was blown away. Unfortunately I can't afford it. I contemplated trading PES in for it, but I think it's common sense to wait to trade that in next week for Call of Duty 4.
 
Yeah I get whooped in the vs mode, but I only tried that to get more use to fighting, won't use that again.

Story mode is AWESOME though, really, really enjoying it! Worth every penny of the £29.99!
